NOV 14: The Department of Justice has successfully completed Phase-I of the commemoration of 150 years of the national song “Vande Mataram”, observed from 7–14 November 2025, alongside celebrations marking the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada, held from 1–15 November 2025. The events were organised at the Jaisalmer House premises in New Delhi to promote national unity, courage and the spirit of sacrifice.
As part of the week-long activities, a tree plantation drive was conducted on 11 November 2025 in the lawns of Jaisalmer House. Led by the Secretary (Justice), the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and staff, symbolising collective responsibility towards environmental conservation and national service.
On 12 November 2025, the Department organised a drawing activity for the children and wards of its officials and staff. Young participants aged between 6 and 13 years took part with great energy and creativity. All children received participation certificates to acknowledge their involvement and encourage artistic expression.
The Phase-I celebrations concluded on 14 November 2025 with a Blood Donation Camp, organised in collaboration with medical professionals from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. Officers and staff volunteered to donate blood, reflecting the Department’s commitment to humanitarian service. Senior officials, including the Secretary (Justice), led by example and joined the noble initiative.
The series of events collectively highlighted themes of patriotism, tribal pride and social responsibility, marking a meaningful observance of both the Vande Mataram milestone and the legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
