Jan 15: The Chief Minister has lauded the outstanding performance of girl students who have secured a large share of merit positions in the recently declared Class 12 examination results across Jammu and Kashmir. Describing the achievement as a proud moment for the Union Territory, he said the results reflect the growing importance of girls’ education and the quiet yet unwavering support of parents who strongly believe in educating their daughters.

The Chief Minister noted that the consistent academic success of girl students highlights a positive transformation in societal attitudes towards education and gender equality. He emphasized that increased enrolment, improved access to quality education, and sustained parental encouragement are collectively empowering young girls to excel and compete at the highest levels.

Terming education as the strongest tool for social and economic progress, the Chief Minister said the achievements of girls in the merit list send a powerful message about their potential to lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to society. He expressed confidence that educated and empowered girls will play a key role in shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing students who could not secure top positions, particularly boys, the Chief Minister urged them to stay resilient, remain focused, and continue striving for excellence. He encouraged them to treat the results as a learning experience and a motivation to work harder in the coming years, adding that success is built through perseverance, discipline, and determination.

The Chief Minister congratulated all successful students, teachers, and parents for their collective efforts and wished the students a bright academic and professional future. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector and promoting equal opportunities for every student to realise their full potential.
