JULY 19: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, addressed the students and faculty at the valedictory session of IIM Jammu’s Orientation Program, delivering an inspiring message for India’s future business leaders.
Speaking to a hall filled with new students and academic leaders, LG Sinha emphasized the critical role young minds must play in shaping the nation’s economic future. “I wish to see these bright young individuals grow into visionary business leaders and innovative thinkers who will contribute significantly to our society’s economic progress and help build the future of this great country,” he stated.
In his address, the LG outlined a forward-looking vision aligned with India’s development goals for 2047—when the country aspires to become a fully developed nation. He called upon the students to not only pursue professional success but also to lead with purpose and social responsibility.
“As we work toward making India a developed nation by 2047, it is essential that prosperity reaches every corner of society. The business leaders of tomorrow must dedicate themselves to creating inclusive opportunities and ensuring that no individual is left behind in our growth story,” LG Sinha remarked.
He further highlighted the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and ethical leadership in today’s rapidly changing global economy. Encouraging students to think beyond traditional models, he urged them to embrace transformation and lead with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to sustainable progress.
The valedictory session marked the conclusion of IIM Jammu’s orientation program, which welcomed the incoming batch of future managers and entrepreneurs. Faculty members, staff, and distinguished guests attended the event, which reflected the institute’s growing reputation as a hub for leadership development and academic excellence in the region.
