JULY 19: The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Samba, played host to a vibrant display of innovation, curiosity, and scientific thinking during the 52nd National Children’s Science Exhibition, marking a significant educational event in the region.

The exhibition brought together over 70 students from 11 different schools, all showcasing their scientific models and ideas on pressing themes such as disaster management, natural farming, sustainable development, and more. These young minds demonstrated not just technical creativity but also a strong understanding of real-world problems and their potential solutions.

The event served as a platform for students to present their models and innovations, which had been meticulously prepared over weeks of research and experimentation. From early warning systems for natural disasters to eco-friendly farming methods, the exhibition highlighted how science can be applied for the betterment of society.

Teachers, mentors, and parents gathered in large numbers to witness the enthusiasm and intellect of the participants. Each model was evaluated on creativity, scientific thought, and practical relevance. The exhibition wasn’t merely a competition—it was a celebration of young innovation and scientific spirit.

Several outstanding entries were selected for the next regional-level competition, marking a proud moment for students and schools alike. These selected projects will go on to represent the region and compete with entries from other parts of the country.

Speaking at the event, school authorities and invited guests emphasized the importance of nurturing scientific temperament in children from an early age. They also lauded the efforts of teachers and mentors who guided the students in preparing such meaningful and impactful models.

The successful conduct of the exhibition reflected JNV Samba’s commitment to fostering education that goes beyond textbooks—encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and community-oriented innovation.

Events like these not only motivate students to pursue science with greater interest but also sow the seeds of future scientists, engineers, and changemakers, who can tackle global challenges with local solutions.
