NOV 14:The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, together with the Department of Culture, Jammu & Kashmir, and the School Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir, has announced the Valedictory Function commemorating the historic completion of 150 years of the patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram’. This grand cultural event will be held on 14th November 2025 at 11:30 AM at the iconic M.A. Stadium, Jammu, bringing together students, artists, cultural practitioners, and citizens to celebrate one of the most powerful symbols of India’s freedom movement.

The ceremony will be graced by Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, who will attend as the Chief Guest. His presence underscores the significance of this milestone and reflects the administration’s commitment to promoting cultural heritage, national pride, and unity among the people of the Union Territory.

For the past year, numerous programs, exhibitions, school activities, and cultural performances have been organised across Jammu and Kashmir as part of the nationwide celebration of Vande Mataram’s 150-year journey. The valedictory event aims to bring these vibrant efforts to a meaningful conclusion while highlighting the timeless relevance of the song, which continues to inspire patriotism and collective identity.
