SEP 18: The Ministry of Textiles has officially launched the Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) – 2025 Campaign, a nationwide drive reinforcing the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in daily life. The campaign is being observed from 17 September to 2 October 2025 across all organisations under the Ministry.

This year’s theme, ‘Swachhotsav’, highlights the idea of celebrating cleanliness as a festival of collective action and community participation. Under this theme, the Ministry and its affiliated bodies are conducting cleanliness drives in office premises, educational campuses, and public spaces. The initiative encourages active participation from employees, students, civil society groups, and local communities to create widespread awareness.

At the Ministry’s headquarters in New Delhi, AS&FA (Textiles) administered the Swachhta Pledge to officials, affirming the commitment to integrate cleanliness into everyday practices. The pledge has also been administered across all organisations under the Ministry of Textiles.

To strengthen outreach, standees and banners highlighting the campaign have been placed at prominent locations, while the Swachhta Hi Seva banner has been uploaded on the websites of the Ministry and its organisations. Additionally, selfie points have been set up at key spots to engage participants and spread the message creatively.

The Ministry has also amplified campaign activities through social media platforms, ensuring maximum visibility and community involvement. With Swachhotsav, the Ministry seeks to transform cleanliness into a shared celebration of responsibility and sustainability.
